Video Interview: The Big C’s Jenny Bicks

NEW YORK: Jenny Bicks, the showrunner of The Big C, sat down with World Screen to discuss the series, which has just been ordered for its fourth and final season, in this video interview.

The dramedy, which stars Laura Linney as a suburban wife and mother with cancer, will wrap its series run on Showtime with four hour-long installments in 2013.

Created by Darlene Hunt, The Big C debuted in August 2010 and drew the largest audience for a Showtime original premiere in eight years. Bicks, formerly a writer on HBO’s Sex and the City and a cancer survivor herself, talks about the delicate balance of finding humor within the show’s dramatic subject.
