U.S. Sitcom The Goldbergs Finds U.K. Home

LONDON: Channel 4 has signed a multi-season deal for the U.S. comedy The Goldbergs, which will air on the youth-skewed digital channel E4.

Season one will debut in early 2015 on E4. The sitcom premiered in the U.S. on ABC in September 2013. It averaged 7 million viewers across its 23-episode run.

Mike Wald, the executive VP of international distribution for Sony Pictures Television, said: “The Goldbergs have already proved to be immensely popular with viewers in the U.S. with the show's brilliant blend of humor, nostalgia and original storytelling. Following our recent sale of hit comedy Marry Me, it will make a great addition to E4’s new year programming."
