LOS ANGELES: The TV Land comedy Hot in Cleveland, which just taped its 100th episode, has received the go-ahead for a sixth season.

The series stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick as friends who decide to move to Cleveland after their Paris-bound plane makes an emergency landing there. Betty White also stars as the opinionated caretaker of the home the trio rents. The show’s current run airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on the U.S. channel. It’s also seen in 211 countries and is set to start airing in syndication this September through CBS Television Distribution.

Emmy-winning actor Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions exec produce, along with showrunner Suzanne Martin and Lynda Obst. Larry W. Jones, TV Land’s president, and Keith Cox exec produce for the network.

“There’s instant magic when our cast, writers and crew get together for each episode,” said Jones. “We’re so excited to be reaching these milestones and can’t wait to see what lies ahead in Cleveland.”
