NEW YORK: Rose Catherine Pinkney has been appointed to the role of VP of development and original programming at TV Land.

Reporting to Keith Cox, the executive VP of development and original programming at TV Land, Pinkney will assist in managing TV Land’s existing original series and contribute to the development of new projects. She will be based in Los Angeles and is joining Cox’s original productions department alongside fellow VP Brad Gardner in handling strategic development of TV Land’s series.

Prior to her new role, Pinkney served as head of television for Laurence Fishburne’s Cinema Gypsy Productions, where she developed content for the broadcast and cable networks including comedy, drama, TV movies, and miniseries. She has also worked in comedy development for Paramount Network Television, overseeing the company’s A-list roster of comedy writers and producers and has held the role of executive VP of programming and production for TV ONE.

“It is rare to find someone who has a wealth of experience with multi-camera sitcoms, a format our audience knows and loves,” said Cox. “Rose Catherine is a creative force who is well-respected by many of the writers that we are in business with, as well as the community at large. I’m so excited to have her join our team.”
