Travel Channel Elevates Brian Leonard to VP of Programming & Development

CHEVY CHASE: Travel Channel has promoted executive producer Brian Leonard to VP of programming and development.

Leonard has been with the network since 2011, working on series such as Breaking Borders, Hotel Impossible, Man Finds Food and Time Traveling with Brian Unger. Before joining the channel, he served as a showrunner for HISTORY’s long-running series Modern Marvels, as well as creating and producing the Military Channel series Battlefield Diaries and TLC’s Marriage Boot Camp.

“Brian is a great storyteller, producer and team leader; he oversees productions on a variety of original programming with dedication, reliability and a commitment to high quality,” said Ross Babbit, the senior VP of programming and development at Travel Channel. “With his roll-up-your-sleeves style, he will be a great resource for the team and also help Travel Channel achieve our overall goal of owning the travel category, while attracting an upscale audience to our expanding slate of new original programming.”
