The People v. O.J. Simpson, Mr. Robot Score TCA Awards

BEVERLY HILLS: The Television Critics Association (TCA) held its 32nd annual awards presentation, with three nods going to The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

The FX series won for program of the year and was honored with the award for outstanding achievement in movies, miniseries and specials. Sarah Paulson, who plays Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson, was recognized for individual achievement in drama.

Mr. Robot won for outstanding new program, while the drama win went to The Americans for the second consecutive year. Black-ish picked up the award in the comedy category. Rachel Bloom won for individual achievement in comedy for her role in The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

For news and information program, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee was recognized with the win. Netflix’s Making a Murderer took the top honors for reality programming. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood was the winner for youth programming.

The career achievement award was presented to Lily Tomlin. The heritage award went to The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The results were determined from votes cast by the TCA’s membership, comprised of more than 220 professional TV critics and journalists from the U.S. and Canada.
