The CW Slates New Unscripted Series, British Comedy Dates

BURBANK: The CW has added two new series to its summer schedule, including the British scripted comedy Dates.

The CW has acquired nine episodes of Dates, in which each episode focuses on a first date between two people who have met on an online dating service. It features such stars as Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), Ben Chaplin (Thin Red Line), Andrew Scott (Sherlock), Katie McGrath (Dracula), Amanda Hale (The White Queen) and Gemma Chan (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit). Bryan Elsley created the series, which aired on Channel 4. Dates is distributed by Entertainment One.

The network ordered the one-hour series A Wicked Off, in which couples are presented with a series of Faustian bargains and must decide whether to compete in scandalous and controversial tasks involving unsuspecting friends, family members and co-workers. Each challenge is meant to test the couple's moral and ethical boundaries.
