Nielsen: Super Bowl 50 Watched By 111.9 Million People

NEW YORK: Sunday night’s broadcast of Super Bowl 50 on CBS delivered 111.9 million viewers, coming in behind last year’s game.

Last year’s broadcast of the Denver Broncos’ victory over the Carolina Panthers keeps the record with 114.4 million viewers. This year did best 2014’s 111.5 million Super Bowl viewers.

CBS released its own figures highlighting the number of viewers that watched all or part of the game (at least six minutes), which was a record 167 million. In this measurement, Super Bowl 50 was the most-watched single broadcast in television history on an all-or-part basis, according to Nielsen’s Fast Total Audience Estimates.
