Former Sky exec Hannah Brown has been appointed chief strategy officer at fuboTV, a sports-first live television streaming service, effective immediately.

In her newly created position, Brown will work out of New York under David Gandler, co-founder and CEO of fuboTV. She is responsible for all strategic development and execution as the service ramps up its sports-first cable replacement business in the U.S. and enters new territories around the globe.

Previously, Brown served as senior VP of corporate development at Relevant Sports Group. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly a decade at Sky, most recently overseeing business development while leading investments and partnerships with start-up and emerging sports businesses. During her time at Sky, an early fuboTV investor, she became a board observer for the service.

“We are thrilled to continue working with Hannah, first as part of our board through Sky and now in-house at fuboTV,” said Gandler. “Hannah’s longtime support for our vision and her expertise in corporate strategy for media and sports companies are valuable additions to our executive team. I look forward to Hannah’s guidance as we continue to innovate and grow fuboTV both in the U.S. and abroad.”

“I am delighted to be joining fuboTV,” added Brown. “At Sky we were incredibly impressed by David and his team’s tenacity, allowing them to get fuboTV off the ground in the most competitive and valuable media market in the world. Their ability to execute brilliantly under resource and time pressure was a standout. In three years fuboTV has taken market share in the U.S. vMPVD space with their laser-focus on customer requirements. The business has developed significantly over the last 12 months and I’m very much looking forward to contributing to the next stage of its development.”
