LOS ANGELES: Shine America has hired Rob Hughes as VP of marketing and Kevin Ivey as executive director of research.

Both men will be based in Los Angeles, where they will work under Vivi Zigler, the president of Shine 360˚ & Digital at Shine America.

Hughes previously served as the executive director of marketing and communications for Saban Brands. In his new role, he will be charged with managing all day-to-day marketing duties. He is expected to collaborate with network and digital partners on the company’s series endeavors, develop global marketing materials for Shine America-produced shows and market the company as a whole.

Prior to his appointment, Ivey was the VP of program research for NBCUniversal’s Syfy and Chiller. He is now responsible for building a new research department for Shine America and providing strategic research data to the company’s scripted, unscripted, digital, publicity, Shine Latino and Shine 360˚ teams.

"As we continue to expand our reach, the addition of both marketing and research departments to complement our scripted, unscripted and digital teams was a natural next step for us here at Shine America," noted Zigler. "And Rob and Kevin are the ideal executives to lead us into these two new areas, bringing a wealth of experience in their respective fields."

"I am honored to join the talented team at Shine America and thrilled by the opportunity to work on the diverse slate of programming the company has, including the upcoming drama The Bridge," stated Hughes.

Ivey added: "Having spent the majority of my career on the network side, it’s energizing to now be on the production side and work with all of the talented people here on the Shine America team."
