LOS ANGELES: Revolt, the music cable channel founded by Sean Combs, is beefing up its executive roster with four new hires ahead of expected growth this year.

James G. Brown Jr. is the new senior VP of content distribution and marketing. He’ll be charged with increasing viewership and overseeing the channel’s existing distributor relationships. Brown joins Revolt TV from ESPN, where he spent most of his 20-year career in affiliate sales and marketing.

Angela Bundrant Turner will serve as VP of affiliate marketing, working with distributors to build engagement options for consumers. Turner, whose extensive experience in network and program launches includes stints at TNT, FOX, UPN and Sony Pictures Television, will report directly to Brown.

Other hires include Kenny Burns, a successful music-industry promoter, as the VP of marketing and Angela Northington, a veteran of companies on the cutting edge of specialty content distribution, as Revolt TV’s VP of content licensing and acquisitions.

“We welcome a great group of talent and are glad to have them on board,” said Keith Clinkscales , the CEO of Revolt TV. “They are high-value players on a growing team.”

Andy Schuon , the network’s president and co-founder, added: “To complement Revolt’s fast-growing platforms from television to digital, our new teams in distribution and marketing are essential to building on the momentum that was created since our launch last year.”
