Perfect Storm Hires Former FX Exec to Run New TV Division

LOS ANGELES: Perfect Storm Entertainment is expanding its business into the television arena, launching a TV division that will be led by Danielle Woodrow, formerly the senior VP of original programming at FX Networks.

Perfect Storm will be focused on developing scripted dramas and comedies. This will be for network TV, cable, digital formats and the international marketplace. Woodrow will be leading the new division, working with Ryan Andolina, the company’s VP. Andolina works on the feature-film side of the division as well. The company recently signed a first-look comedy deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Troy Craig Poon, Perfect Storm’s president, said, “Justin, Bruno, and I are thrilled to bring Danielle into the partnership and are extremely excited about the opportunities that lay ahead. I have known Danielle a long time and greatly admire her abilities. She is a brilliant and dynamic creative mind.”

Justin Lin, a company co-founder who also serves as a director on Fast & the Furious, continued, “Danielle brings exceptional experience in television and adds an important element to Perfect Storm Entertainment. We are ecstatic to have her become a principal in the company.”
