PASADENA: During its TCA presentation, PBS unveiled several new highlights, including an addition to the Ken Burns pipeline, a second season of Last Tango in Halifax and a Think Wednesday prime-time block.

From Burns comes Country Music, which will air in 2018. The program will follow the evolution of country music over the course of the 20th century.

The British drama Last Tango in Halifax is returning to PBS for a second season this June. The new sitcom Vicious, starring Tango lead Derek Jacobi, will join the PBS lineup in July.

Earth: A New Wild, scheduled for 2015, takes a look at humankind's relationship with the planet's wildest species. The five-part series will be hosted by the leading conservation scientist Dr. M. Sanjayan.

PBS is paying tribute to veterans with a set of programs timed to Memorial Day and the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The centerpiece is the 25th installment of the live broadcast of the National Memorial Day Concert, co-hosted for the ninth consecutive year by Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise. Also lined up is Coming Back with Wes Moore, which features Moore's search for answers to questions facing returning vets. NOVA will present D-Day's Sunken Secrets, which follows the collaboration among military historians, archaeologists and specialist divers to survey the wreck sites bordering the D-Day beaches.

The network has also planned a new prime-time programming lineup, Think Wednesday, which will include new episodes of the series Nature and Nova at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively. The lineup kicks off on April 9.
