OWN Elevates Trio of Senior Execs

LOS ANGELES: Scott Garner, Tina Perry and Debi Pomerantz, senior executives at OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, have been promoted.

Garner has been upped from senior VP to executive VP of scheduling and acquisitions. He will continue to manage strategic planning and scheduling of the channel and VOD platform, as well as off-network, first-run and feature acquisitions. Before joining OWN in 2011, he worked for Lifetime Networks, Disney Channel Worldwide, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon/Nick Jr.

Formerly the senior VP and head of legal and business affairs, Perry has been named executive VP of business and legal affairs. She will continue to offer business affairs and legal support to all departments of OWN and Oprah.com. She was first hired by the network in 2009. Prior to that, she served as counsel and senior counsel for VH1 and MTV.

Pomerantz has been elevated from VP to senior VP of research. Her duties include supervising a research team that provides insight to the network's different internal divisions. She develops strategic research initiatives, helping the network to expand through audience and marketplace insights. Earlier in her career, she was the VP of research at TV Guide Network.

All three executives report to Erik Logan and Sheri Salata, presidents of OWN and Harpo Studios.
