NEW YORK: The opening night of this year’s New York Television Festival (NYTVF) will feature the world premiere screening of The CW’s new mid-season series The Carrie Diaries, followed by a Q&A with the show’s star, AnnaSophia Robb, along with series executive producer Amy Harris and author/executive producer Candace Bushnell.

The screening of The Carrie Diaries will take place on October 22. The following day, the festival will feature a Late Night Writers panel that includes the head writers at The Late Show with David Letterman, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The housemates of Jersey Shore will join MTV executives and the series creator for a Q&A on October 24. On Friday, October 26, the festival will spotlight the new FOX Tuesday comedy lineup featuring talent for New Girl and Ben and Kate.

“The eighth annual NYTVF is the culmination of a banner year, where we have seen tremendous growth in both the number of opportunities for artists participating in our development initiatives and competitions and the level of the television industry’s commitment to that community of creators,” said Terence Gray, NYTVF’s founder and executive director. “To top it off, we have a really fun Festival week featuring some of TV’s biggest hits, brightest stars, and a lineup that has something for everyone. We can’t wait to share these events with the aspiring artists, industry insiders, and TV fanatics that celebrate with us each year, and we are grateful to each sponsor, speaker, partner, and artist that makes the Festival possible.”
