Nina Tassler Promoted to Chairman of CBS Entertainment

STUDIO CITY: Nina Tassler has been elevated to chairman of CBS Entertainment, signing a new contract with the company that extends through 2017.

In her expanded post, Tassler will lead the network's entertainment programming across prime time, daytime and late night. She is also charged with program development in all genres. She will direct a year-round programming portfolio that now includes original series in the summer and a newly created limited series and live event program unit. Tassler will also oversee the entertainment division matters in advertising and promotion, business affairs, consumer products, digital/interactive, diversity, publicity, scheduling and research.

Tassler continues to report to Leslie Moonves, the president of CBS Corp.
