News Corp. Completes Purchase of ESPN STAR Sports

HONG KONG/NEW YORK: News Corporation has officially purchased ESPN’s partnership interest in ESPN STAR Sports.

The agreement was signed back in early June, and the transaction has now been complete. ESPN STAR Sports is now a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corp.

News Corp. posted its financial results yesterday for its fiscal first quarter, which saw a sharp increase in profit.
