New Hire for A+E Networks

NEW YORK: Christopher Barry has been appointed as the managing director of international strategy and digital media for A+E Networks, based at the company’s New York headquarters. 

Barry is tasked with developing and executing strategic initiatives in partnership with execs around the world. He will work to cultivate new growth opportunities, along with overseeing international digital operations. He will also be responsible for pushing international digital distribution, negotiating broadband, mobile and VOD partnerships and developing strategies for rights protection and exploitation. He joins the company from Sundance Channel, where he served as the senior VP of digital media and business strategy. Barry will report to Sean Cohan, the senior VP of international for A+E Networks.
