LOS ANGELES: Matt Hanna has been hired as G4 Media’s head of original programming, effective immediately.

In his new role, Hanna will work under general manager Adam Stotsky. He will be in charge of the development and production of TV programming for men.

Hanna previously served as the senior VP of development for True Entertainment, where he contributed to popular series such as Too Cute on Animal Planet and The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo. Prior to that he worked for BermanBraun and VH1.

"The network’s major commitment to new programming makes Matt’s leadership especially important," said Stotsky. "His tremendous success with multi-genre programming, combined with his creative vision, will help as we expand our lineup of shows that appeal to men."

"G4 is especially hot right now, with its expanding focus on programming for men," added Hanna. "Adam has this network pointed towards even more original production, so I feel this is absolutely the right time and place for me. I can’t wait to get the G4 development process operating at full throttle."
