NEW YORK: CBS Corporation’s digital subscription, VOD and live-steaming service CBS All Access is expanding its live local feeds to 75 percent of the U.S.

The affiliate agreements span 124 markets across the U.S., with 40 affiliate groups having inked deals to participate in the CBS All Access service to date. Of those 124 markets, the local live offering is currently available in 59 markets, reaching over 50 percent of the U.S. New markets are going live each week, with the live linear feeds in many of the recently added markets launching soon. The recent deals with Media General, Scripps, Sinclair and other affiliate groups will bring CBS All Access’ live offering to markets such as Portland, Oregon; Providence, Rhode Island; Nashville, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio and Albany-Schenectady, New York. The service launched in October 2014 with 14 owned and operated CBS stations.

Ray Hopkins, the president of television networks distribution at CBS Corporation, commented, “We’re very pleased that CBS All Access is rolling out its live local offering across the country ahead of schedule. Our goal is to offer the service to consumers in every market in the near future, giving viewers everywhere the ability to watch their local CBS station whenever they want and on whatever platform is most convenient for them.”

In markets that do not yet offer live-streaming of their local CBS station, CBS All Access subscribers still have access to over 7,000 episodes on-demand via the CBS App for iOS and Android, on CBS All Access’ Roku Channel, Chromecast and online at CBS.com.
