NEW YORK: NBCUniversal is ramping up its TV Everywhere offering, launching an authenticated, multiplatform initiative for consumers who live in a market with an NBC-owned TV station.

The move will make NBC local, news, sports, syndicated, prime-time and late-night programming available to consumers with a cable, satellite or telco subscription. Authenticated viewers can then watch live or on-demand content on their local station’s website and on apps from the iTunes or Google Play stores. The live NBC programming will first be available through NBC stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., Miami-Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and Connecticut. NBC affiliates are expected to launch throughout the year.

“Whether you’re sitting at home watching The Blacklist on your iPad, tuning into the latest weather forecast on your train ride to work or taking your lunch break in front of your computer watching Days of Our Lives, we know our local NBC audiences will appreciate having the full lineup of NBC programming available to them as they go about their busy lives,” said Valari Staab, the president of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “Our stations are committed to making it easy and convenient for viewers to watch our programming, and this is one more step in that effort.”
