NBCU Signs TV Everywhere Deal with Mediacom

NEW YORK: NBCUniversal’s portfolio of broadcast and cable content is being made available to customers of Mediacom Communications across multiple screens, for both in-home and out-of-home viewing.

The agreement includes rights to carry the Olympic Games, as well as on-demand programming for NBCU’s cable and broadcast networks. Also part of the deal is access to live channels across multiple platforms. The agreement further covers the retransmission consent for NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations and continued carriage of the NBCU cable networks. Customers with subscriptions to Mediacom’s Family TV package are the ones benefiting from the new pact.

Matt Bond, the executive VP and content distribution at NBCUniversal, said, “As the most watched media company, NBCUniversal wants to ensure Mediacom’s customers can experience its award-winning programming whenever and wherever they want. With this agreement, Mediacom underscores the growing value of our broadcast and cable brands, and highlights our commitment to best serve our viewers and their customers well into the future.”

“We are very pleased to complete this agreement with NBCUniversal because it provides our customers with greater flexibility and choice in their search for entertaining content,” added Italia Commisso Weinand, Mediacom’s executive VP of programming and human resources. “Whether at home or on the go, Mediacom customers will have access to the very best NBCUniversal programming."
