NBC to Remain TV Home of Golden Globe Awards for Eight More Years

NBC has inked an eight-year deal with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and dick clark productions (dcp) to continue to air the Golden Globe Awards.

The agreement begins with the upcoming three-hour telecast of the Golden Globe Awards from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 6, 2019. The ceremony will broadcast on NBC in the U.S. from coast to coast at 8 p.m. NBC has been the TV home of the awards for the past 23 years in the U.S. Produced by dick clark productions in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide.

“We look forward to airing the Golden Globe Awards on NBC for the next eight years at least,” said Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment. “We’ve been the proud home of the Globes since 1996, and over those decades we’re honored to have been part of its transformation into Hollywood’s most joyous awards ceremony. And this year will be no different.”

“The members of the HFPA are delighted to continue our long association with NBC,” said Meher Tatna, the president of the HFPA. “We are looking forward to celebrating our 24th show together on January 6.”
