NEW YORK: More than 100 million cable, satellite and telco customers in the U.S. are gaining access to live streaming content of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, by verifying their accounts through NBCOlympics.com.

There will be more than 1,000 hours of live streaming Olympics coverage available to stream, which is more than double the number of hours available for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. All competitions across each of the 15 sports, including the medal-winning performance in all 98 events, will be streamed live on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app. The site will also feature exclusive content, real-time results, medal standings, event highlights and analysis, athlete interviews and profiles and rewinds of all event coverage.

Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics, said: “In the short time that has passed since London, TV Everywhere and the verification process have evolved, with more and more subscribers participating daily. We will again work closely with our multi-channel partners to make this the most successful and seamless TV Everywhere event in history.”
