NBC Developing Johnny Carson Mini-Series

UNIVERSAL CITY: NBC is in development on a mini-series about the life of the legendary late-night talk shot host Johnny Carson.

The mini will be based on the upcoming biography "Carson the Magnificent: An Intimate Portrait" by Bill Zehme. It will cover Carson’s 30-year run as host of The Tonight Show, as well as his childhood, his often-secluded off-camera life and the friendships he made throughout his career. Casting will be announced at a later date.
