LOS ANGELES: The 50th anniversary edition of NATPE is expected to welcome more than 1,000 buyers next week, the highest number in more than five years.

There are double-digit overall gains in attendance for the event. A slew of additions have been made to the speaker lineup as well, with around 40 percent coming from the digital arena. The lineup includes, among many others, Mark Cuban, co-founder and chairman of AXS TV; Neil Bedwell, the global head of digital at The Coca-Cola Company; and Larry Tanz, the CEO of Vuguru. The Storytellers track welcomes Pam Veasey, executive producer of CSI: NY, and Wendy West, executive producer of Dexter.

“These numbers signify a much greater opportunity for meaningful business to take place in Miami,” said Rod Perth, the president and CEO of NATPE. “We are pleased and gratified to see such enthusiasm from buyers, sellers and attendees, and we are looking forward to a diverse and provocative conference lineup that can help steer us into the future of this ever-changing industry.”
