Nat Geo Hires Teakwood Lane’s Hugh Fitzpatrick in Scripted Push

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Hugh Fitzpatrick is joining National Geographic Channel as VP of scripted development and production.

Fitzpatrick comes to the channel from Teakwood Lane, where he served as head of television. Teakwood is Howard Gordon’s production company based at 20th Century Fox Television. Its credits include Homeland and 24 as well as Tyrant.

With Nat Geo, Fitzpatrick will be based in Los Angeles and report to Carolyn Bernstein, National Geographic Channel’s executive VP and head of global scripted development.

I’ve had the privilege to have worked with Hugh previously and know firsthand that he is the perfect addition.
