MTV to Pre-Release Entire Series in an App

NEW YORK: MTV has become the first network to pre-release an entire season of a series exclusively in an app.

All 12 episodes of the new docudrama Wait 'Til Next Year are currently available via the MTV app. This is a week before the U.S. television premiere, set for November 1 at 8 p.m. The entire first season is available to be watched on the iPhone, iPad and Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members.

Wait 'Til Next Year is about the Lincoln Park Railsplitters, a football team that has lost 43 consecutive games over the course of their five-year losing streak. The series will air every Friday night on MTV.
