Masters of Sex Creator in Overall Deal with FX Productions

Michelle Ashford, Masters of Sex‘s creator, executive producer and writer, has entered into an exclusive overall production agreement with FX Productions.

Under the deal, Ashford will develop new television projects for FX Networks and other outlets. She currently is a co-executive producer and writer on the miniseries Lewis and Clark. She wrote for the miniseries The Pacific, which was nominated for an Emmy, and John Adams. She is also adapting Ben Macintyre’s Operation Mincemeat as a feature film and Brendan Koerner’s The Skies Belong to Us for New Regency.

“We admire Michelle’s ability to create great TV across so many different genres and know she will be a tremendous addition to the FX Networks creative team,” said Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions. “Her storytelling skills have made her one of the most in-demand writers and producers in the business and we look forward to working together on new projects.”
