MarVista to Distribute New Family Films

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has picked up the international distribution rights for 36 titles from Feature Films for Families, led by such talent as Katherine Hiegl, Robert Englund, Mark Moses, James Earl Jones and Alfre Woodward.

Movies include Wish Upon a Star, Gunther and the Paper Brigade, Just in Time, Just Like Dad, Lone Star Kid, Words by Heart, Miracle at Moreaux and Friendships' Field. There are also original productions from Feature Films for Families, such as Slow Moe and Address Unknown. All of these titles and more will be showcased by MarVista Entertainment next week in Cannes.

"Buyer demand for movies that can be enjoyed by the entire family continues to grow around the world, especially with the proliferation of digital and SVOD platforms. This has led to an increase in our own production of original films, which will be complemented by the Feature Films for Families library acquisition," said Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista Entertainment. "Each of the films in this library conveys the core values shared by families the world over, including courage, compassion, perseverance and unconditional love, as well as the importance of service to others and teamwork. These valuable messages of encouragement and inspiration are delivered through colorful characters involved in engaging stories that will entertain and resonate with audiences around the globe."
