MarVista Options Several Literary Works for Development

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Entertainment has optioned a number of contemporary literary works to be developed as potential theatrical releases of prime-time TV series, among them Alisa Valdes’ The Dirty Girls Social Club.

The Dirty Girls Social Club has sold close to 700,000 copies in the U.S. alone and is also being published in 11 different languages worldwide, including German, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Dutch, Polish, Korean and Icelandic.

Also from Valdes, MarVista optioned The Three Kings: A Christmas Dating Story. Louisa May Alcott’s A Long Fatal Love Chase has been optioned by the company as well. Additionally, MarVista has partnered with Canada’s EVOS Media to develop VC Andrews’ Daughters of Darkness.
