MarVista Entertainment has bolstered its marketing and distribution business through new appointments and expanded the role of its senior VP of operations.

Michol Hatwan, a former Playster content acquisitions executive, has been appointed as the director of distribution. Hatwan will be responsible for sales in the U.S. and Canada, reporting to Jody Cipriano, the head of global distribution at MarVista.

Industry veteran Stephanie Dillard joins MarVista as marketing director, overseeing marketing campaigns for the company’s programming content across domestic, international and emerging platforms. She will report to Deena Stern, the senior VP of marketing and communications.

In addition, MarVista’s senior VP of operations, Candace Johnston—who has been in charge of all content operations for the past decade—is expanding her role to include spearheading a newly launched revenue operations team. Johnston will be tasked with leading strategic direction, development and insights to continue to build MarVista’s revenue and growth.

“As we continue our aggressive growth strategy focusing on a market- and client-driven approach, further fueling our content pipeline across genres for all platforms, it’s also important that we build and hone the teams that drive our revenue streams,” said Fernando Szew, the CEO of MarVista. “Candace’s expertise will ensure consistent management of our client relations and business development. Michol and Stephanie also bring a wealth of expertise to their respective positions as we continue to build an infrastructure to effectively manage our rapid growth while maintaining superior client service.”
