MarVista Bolsters Management Team

LOS ANGELES: Several appointments have been made at MarVista Entertainment, including Susan Young being tapped to serve as the chief financial officer.

Young will report directly to Fernando Szew, the company’s CEO. She will be responsible for the administrative, financial and risk-management operations for MarVista, and will also been involved in formulating the company’s direction going forward and supporting tactical initiatives.

Vanessa Goglio Shapiro has been upped from senior VP of worldwide sales to executive VP of worldwide sales. She continues to oversee the sales team, which includes the newly appointed director of international sales, Scott Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick will handle MarVista’s content sales for Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Benelux, Israel and the Middle East. Also reporting to Shapiro is Laura Hoffman, who has been promoted to executive director for sales and contract administration.

Matt Freeman joins the company as VP of production and development. Freeman will report to Robyn Snyder, the executive VP of production and development. He is tasked with oversight of the current independent and network projects across movies, mini-series and scripted shows.
