LOS ANGELES: Mark Cuban, who is the owner and chairman of AXS TV and the owner of the NBA team the Dallas Mavericks, is lined up to deliver the opening keynote at NATPE 2013, the organization’s 50th anniversary market.

Cuban will sit down with CNN’s Poppy Harlow. He will headline the Game Changers track, spotlighting leaders from some of the world’s top companies that have continually challenged mainstream thinking. Cuban’s AXS TV (formerly HDNet) is an all high-definition TV network that was launched in 2001, when HD was still fairly new.

“Mark is an innovative businessman whose work has helped to change the face of the media world,” said Rod Perth, NATPE’s president and CEO. “With each step of his career, this entrepreneurial mogul has expanded his interests and influence, fully embodying NATPE’s theme of ‘Beyond Disruption.’ As we dedicate this year’s market to how new business models are being created, we are excited to have his voice set the stage for the game changing conversations among industry leaders at NATPE.”
