Lifetime Lines Up Film & Doc on Jodi Arias Trial

LOS ANGELES: Lifetime is scheduled to premiere the scripted movie Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret and the documentary Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines, focused on Jodi Arias’ murder trial.

Starring Tania Raymonde (Lost) and Jesse Lee Soffer (The Mob Doctor), Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret tells the story of the 28-year-old woman who was recently found guilty of murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in 2008. The movie, which also features Tony Plana (Ugly Betty) and David Zayas (Dexter), comes from SilverScreen Pictures in collaboration with City Entertainment and Peace Out Productions. It is set to debut on Saturday, June 22 at 8 p.m.

The network is also going to air CBS EYE Productions’ Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines, a one-hour documentary exploring Arias’ relationship with Alexander, who was found with a slit throat, 27 stab wounds and a bullet in his head. The production will include commentary from Arias, friends and family members of the victim, police detective Esteban Flores and criminologist Lawrence Kobilinsky. It is slated for broadcast on Wednesday, May 22 at 10 p.m. and then again on June 22 at 10 p.m. following the premiere of Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret.
