NEW YORK: The new Lifetime original movie Abducted: The Carlina White Story, produced by Pilgrim Studios, is based on the true story of a young woman who was kidnapped and then reunited with her parents 23 years later.

Aunjanue Ellis (The Help), Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP), and Sherri Shepherd (30 Rock, The View) star in the TV movie, which is from the same producers as Amanda Knox: Murder On Trial In Italy. Production starts this week in Vancouver, with delivery slated for later this year.

The case of Carlina White is reported to be the first known infant abduction from a New York hospital. White was taken from the hospital at birth, in 1987, by a woman posing as a nurse. As she grew up, she suspected that this was not her birth mother, so she launched her own investigation. White was reunited with her biological parents 23 years later.
