LOS ANGELES: Lifetime has named 72 Productions’s Sebastian Dungan VP of original movies, effective immediately.

In his new role, Dungan will be responsible for the development and production of Lifetime original movies. He will be based in Los Angeles and will report to Tanya Lopez, the senior VP of original movies.

Prior to joining Lifetime, Dungan was founding partner of the independent production company 72 Productions, where he produced Jill Soloway’s Afternoon Delight. Dungan also developed and produced Transamerica. He began his career at Paramount Pictures and at Warner Bros.-based Witt-Thomas Films.

“Sebastian’s strong background in the independent feature world will bring an added and important perspective to our department as we continue to broaden the scope of our long-form projects,” said Lopez.
