Leftfield Entertainment Launches New Production Company

NEW YORK: Leftfield Entertainment has set up a brand-new production company, Riot Creative, which will be led by veteran TV executive and producer Stephanie Angelides.

Leftfield Entertainment already houses the production companies Leftfield Pictures (Pawn Stars), Sirens Media (The Real Housewives of New Jersey), Loud TV (Tiny House Nation) and Outpost Entertainment (Engineering Disasters). Riot Creative aim to develop "smart and authentic programming" for TV, with increased focus on OTT and digital platforms.

Angelides previously served as senior VP of development for production company Optomen, overseeing all North American development for Optomen Productions and Gordon Ramsey’s One Potato Two Potato. She takes on the role of president of Riot Creative.

Brent Montgomery, Leftfield Entertainment's CEO, said: “Stephanie Angelides is another perfect fit for our group's vision of putting creatives in the best position to focus on the next big hit, while the LFE machine focuses on delivering for our clients across all areas of operations. Our first startup, Loud TV, is a great example of this; it just turned two years old and, under Nick Rigg’s leadership, has 10 series in production. Leftfield Entertainment’s strategic decision to partner with ITV was in part driven by the commitment ITV made to allow Leftfield to continue to invest, at a time when the industry is evolving rapidly; after the first year of marriage, we couldn't be happier. It’s a great blueprint for all of LFE’s current and future startups.”

Angelides added, “To get the chance to focus on being creative in various genres of programming, and for both established networks and emerging platforms, is about as good as it gets in our business. I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead Riot Creative, and to be part of the team at Leftfield Entertainment.”
