L.A. Screenings: New from CBS Studios International

LOS ANGELES: CBS Studios International (CBSSI) will be screening for international buyers the new CBS dramas CSI: Cyber and NCIS: New Orleans, among others.

CSI: Cyber is a spin-off of the hit CSI franchise, this one focused on the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI. NCIS: New Orleans is a spin-off of the popular NCIS procedural, with the latest iteration set in the Big Easy.

CBSSI has some other new CBS dramas to present, including Madam Secretary, which stars Téa Leoni as the newly appointed Secretary of State, and Scorpion, about an eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits who help protect against high-tech threats of the modern age. CBSSI also has some CBS comedies to present: The McCarthys, about a sports-crazed Boston family, and The Odd Couple, a modern update of the classic series that features Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon.

The CW comedy Jane the Virgin is about a wholesome girl who is accidentally artificially inseminated. The studio will be screening another series that made its way to The CW, The Messengers, in which people awaken with inexplicable powers.

CBSSI also has two Showtime dramas to showcase: The Affair, which explores the emotional and psychological effects of an extramarital affair, and Penny Dreadful, a psychological series that brings together classic horror-origin stories.
