Kevin Can Wait Scores U.K. Slot

CANNES: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has sold the new U.S. sitcom Kevin Can Wait, which stars Kevin James, to Channel 4 for an E4 slot.

The series airs on CBS in the U.S., where it attracted some 13.2 million viewers. In the Asia Pacific, iQiy picked up exclusive rights to the series in China, Viacom18’s Comedy Central scooped up the series for India and TVNZ in New Zealand is set to air it on TVNZ 2. In Latin America, Turner secured the comedy to air in 20 countries across the region. OSN scored the series for the Middle East.

Keith LeGoy, the president of distribution at SPT, commented: “Kevin James is a huge talent and loved by audiences around the world. The series had a fantastic start in the U.S. and we’re confident that more international buyers will fall for Kevin’s many charms.”
