Just for Laughs Gags Scores Renewal Through 2018

LOS ANGELES: Syndicated candid-camera series Just for Laughs Gags has been renewed by Tribune Broadcasting for 2017 and 2018.

Since it’s premiere in 2015, the Canadian import has run in the U.S. for two seasons in syndication. Three seasons have also aired in prime time on ABC. The brand is also known in the U.S. for its spin-off series Just Kidding on Disney XD, as well as its YouTube channel. Distributor PPI Releasing will continue to offer the series, which features the Canadian comedy troupe Just For Laughs, as both a Monday through Friday strip and a weekend stack on a barter basis.

“By any measure, Just for Laughs Gags is arguably the funniest TV show in the world,” said PPI’s principal, Ritch Colbert. “Its incredible flexibility, appeal to all audiences and station-friendly terms make it a top utility player for our stations.”
