JoAnn Alfano to Oversee NBCU Scripted Programming

LONDON: NBCUniversal International Television Production has named JoAnn Alfano as executive VP of scripted programming.

Alfano will be overseeing the company's global scripted business. She will also supervise the development and production of scripted programming across the portfolio of companies that includes Carnival, Lucky Giant and Matchbox Pictures. She will also manage the division's partnerships, working with both Working Title Television and Lark Productions.

Based in Los Angeles, Alfano takes up the role full time in late October. She began her career at NBC, and returns to the NBCU family after serving as executive producer on the upcoming drama Resurrection. She was previously the president of television at Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Prior to that she was head of programming for Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network.
