ITV Studios America Inks Pod Deal with Hoodlum

SHERMAN OAKS: ITV Studios America has entered into a first-look producer pod deal with Hoodlum for scripted series targeted to the U.S. market.

Hoodlum, which is based in Australia, will now also be operating out of ITV Studios America’s headquarters in Los Angeles. Hoodlum's scripted-series credits include Secrets & Lies, currently on ABC, and The Strange Calls, a pilot for NBC, as well as Slide and Fat Cow Motel. The outfit was founded in 1999 by Tracey Robertson and Nathan Mayfield.

“As our scripted content and production business continues to grow, we want to partner with the best storytellers from around the world to bring their ideas to an American audience,” said Orly Adelson, the president of ITV Studios America. “Hoodlum has a wide range of international experience with impressive accomplishments already in Australia, the U.K. and the U.S. and we are excited to continue building on that great work with Tracey, Nathan and the team here in America."

"We've had a long and prosperous relationship with ITV and ITV Studios in the U.K. and are thrilled to be working closely with Orly Adelson, Julie Meldal-Johnsen and their team in the U.S.,” commented Robertson, the CEO of Hoodlum. “Hoodlum is excited to be partnering with such an internationally recognized studio that produces such a wide variety of innovative and entertaining content for the global market."
