International Emmys to Be Presented by John Oliver

NEW YORK: John Oliver, a comedian/writer known for his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, has signed on as the host of this year's International Emmy Awards Gala, which is taking place later this month.

Since 2006 Oliver has been a writer and correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which he guest hosted for two months during the summer. He has also led his own Comedy Central series, John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, and contributes to The Bugle, a weekly podcast. The 41st International Emmy Awards Gala will be held at the Hilton New York Hotel on Monday, November 25.

Paisner, the president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "We are delighted John is following up his very successful hosting of the Daily Show with the International Emmys."
