IM Global Appoints Head of Acquisitions

LOS ANGELES: IM Global has hired John Zois, a former EuropaCorp exec, as senior VP of acquisitions for the independent entertainment studio.

In his new role, Zois will report to Stuart Ford, IM Global’s founder and CEO. He will work alongside JR Smith, the company’s director of acquisitions.

Zois previously served as director of worldwide acquisitions at EuropaCorp, where he acquired films for distribution in the U.S., France and around the globe. Before that, he worked in both acquisitions and sales at FilmNation Entertainment. He started his career at AMC Theatres and The Gersh Agency.

Zois remarked: “I am thrilled to join Stuart and the great team at IM Global, which has been a leader in its field since its inception almost a decade ago. This new era is an extremely exciting time for the company and I am looking forward to bringing in new and interesting projects as we continue to grow.”

Ford added: “John is a savvy, well-respected figure on the acquisitions circuit and going forward I’m sure he will play a significant role in helping us board the strongest independent projects from around the globe as either a financier, distributor or sales agent.”
