Hulu Orders Third Season of The Awesomes

LOS ANGELES: The Hulu original series The Awesomes, which is co-created by Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, is coming back for a third run.

Meyers also stars in the adult animated comedy, which follows the story of the greatest superhero team in history after they lose their most powerful members. The Awesomes is a Hulu co-production with Broadway Video (Saturday Night Live, Late Show with Seth Meyers). Bento Box Entertainment serves as the animator for the series.

Beatrice Springborn, the head of originals at Hulu, said, “When we first premiered season one of The Awesomes two years ago, we knew it was going to be a big success for Hulu. With a growing fan base from season to season and a cast featuring some of the funniest people on television, it was a natural decision for us to renew the show for a third season.”
