HISTORY Orders Docu-Drama Barbarians Rising

NEW YORK: HISTORY has given the go-ahead to Barbarians Rising, an eight-part docu-drama due out next year.

The limited event series is a global co-production for HISTORY channels from October Films. It’s slated to premiere across 185-plus territories. The series will chronicle nine warriors, including Spartacus and Attila, as they seek to topple the Roman Empire over the course of 700 years.

A+E Networks will handle worldwide distribution for Barbarians Rising.
