HBO Signs Mike Myers to Overall Deal

LOS ANGELES: Mike Myers has entered into an overall deal with HBO, including TV exclusivity and runs for two years.

Myers, a Saturday Night Live alum, recently made his directorial debut with the doc Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon. He also wrote and starred in Wayne's World and Wayne's World 2, in addition to creating, writing, producing and starring in the hit Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. The success of that film spawned two sequels.

“Mike Myers is one of the great comedy minds of this or any other era,” said Michael Lombardo, the president of HBO Programming. “The opportunity to collaborate with a talent of his stature is tremendously exciting.”

“I’m thrilled to be at HBO,” commented Myers.
