HBO Renews Girls, Veep

NEW YORK: HBO has made a commitment for second seasons of the comedies Girls and Veep, giving ten-episode orders for both.

Girls has drawn a gross audience to date of 3.8 million viewers. The show, created by and starring Lena Dunham, follows a group of girls in the early 20s who are trying to figure out guys, themselves and each other.

Veep, created by Armando Iannucci, has a gross audience to date of 3.7 million viewers. Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays Selina Meyer, who becomes vice president and finds out that the job is not what she expected it to be.
