Google Unveils Premium TV Packages

KANSAS CITY: The lineup for Google’s new IPTV service Fiber TV includes three premium add-on packages, including a Starz bundle and one that features offerings for the Hispanic market.

The new Gigabit + TV package has around 185 channels included, with more to be added in the coming months. For $120, subscribers to Gigabit + TV will receive all the channels as well as a new Nexus 7 tablet, which doubles as a remote, and the "ultra-fast" Gigabit Internet. Subscribers also get HD content and a DVR that can record up to eight shows at one time.

Google Fiber has three add-on packages, with Gigabit + TV customers able to add on Starz and Showtime bundles for $10 per month each. The Starz package includes such channels as Encore, MoviePlex and Starz Kids and Family. The Showtime bundle features, among others, The Movie Channel, Showtime Showcase and Sho2.

Gigabit + TV customers can also add a package of Hispanic content for an additional $5 per month. This add-on includes Univision tlnovelas, FOROTv, Telehit, Bandamax, Ritomoson Latino, De Película and De Película Clásico.
